5-Year Warranty

Every Implagen titanium prosthetic component is covered by a five-year manufacturing defect warranty from the invoice date.

1. What is covered

  • Material defects in Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) titanium raw material.
  • Machining defects (dimensional non-conformity, thread defects, surface finish).
  • Non-conformity with the technical specification declared for the product SKU.

2. What is not covered

  • Wear, corrosion or damage caused by clinical use, sterilisation cycles or contact with aggressive chemicals not recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Damage caused by improper handling, storage, or by attempting to modify the component.
  • Failures caused by incompatible pairing (using a component outside its declared compatibility list).
  • Aesthetic wear, cosmetic marks not affecting function.
  • Damage caused by third-party components mounted on Implagen parts.

3. Duration & scope

60 months from the invoice date. Warranty is transferable within the original buying entity but does not extend to end-patient claims — clinical responsibility remains with the treating clinician.

4. How to claim

  1. Email contact@implagen.com with subject "Warranty claim — SKU / invoice #".
  2. Attach: invoice number, SKU, lot/batch code (etched on the part), photographs, short description of the issue.
  3. We reply within 5 working days with a return authorisation (RMA) number and instructions.
  4. Ship the part in a sealed medical bag with the RMA number visible. Return shipping is prepaid by Implagen for confirmed warranty cases.
  5. After inspection (max 15 working days) we replace the part, issue a credit note, or explain in writing why the claim is not accepted.

5. Remedies

For confirmed manufacturing defects, Implagen at its option: (a) replaces the part free of charge, (b) issues a credit note for the invoiced value, or (c) refunds the invoiced value. Liability is capped at the invoiced value of the affected part — see Terms & Conditions §9.

6. Traceability

Every titanium component is laser-marked with a lot code, enabling full traceability to raw material batch and machining run, as required by ISO 13485.
